Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how BookCoversLab (“BookCoversLab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles refunds for digital cover tools, AI generation credits, print-ready export credits, and related services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Customer Service Policy.

Payment type and access

• PayPal purchases are one-time payments. They do not create a subscription or automatically renew.
• If a recurring plan is offered through another payment provider, the checkout page identifies the billing interval (for example, monthly or yearly) before payment. Recurring plans currently use Stripe or Creem rather than PayPal.
• After the payment provider confirms a successful payment, we add the purchased entitlement to the customer account. Digital access and credits are normally available immediately after confirmation.
• Unless the checkout page or product description states a different period, purchased credits and export entitlements do not have a fixed expiration date. Promotional or free credits may have separate expiration rules shown when they are granted.

When a refund may be available

We may approve a refund when:

• the same order was charged more than once;
• payment was captured but the promised digital entitlement was not delivered and we cannot correct the issue;
• a material technical failure prevents delivery of the paid creation or export and we cannot provide a reasonable correction; or
• a refund is required by applicable law.

Before a paid creation, export, or credit is used, a customer may contact us to request cancellation and a refund review. Approval is based on whether the paid entitlement has been used and the facts of the order.

If a paid export is rejected solely because BookCoversLab introduced a material specification error, we will first try to correct the file. If we cannot correct the error, we will refund the affected export charge. A rejection caused by a customer’s content, a change in a third-party platform’s rules, or a third-party review is not automatically refundable.

When a refund is generally not available

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, fees are generally non-refundable after:

• a creation or export has been delivered or made available for download;
• a paid AI, repair, or export credit has been consumed; or
• the customer has received the purchased digital deliverable and later changes their mind.

We do not guarantee acceptance by Amazon KDP or another third-party platform. That platform’s decision alone does not create a refund entitlement unless the rejection resulted from a material BookCoversLab specification error as described above.

How to request a refund

Email support@bookcoverslab.com as soon as possible and include:

• the email address used for the BookCoversLab account;
• the order ID and, for PayPal payments, the PayPal transaction ID;
• the product or package purchased and purchase date; and
• a short explanation of the issue, with screenshots or error details when relevant.

We may request additional information to verify the order and determine whether the paid entitlement was used.

Review and processing

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within two business days. If a refund is approved, we will submit it to the original payment method within five business days. PayPal, Stripe, Creem, or the customer’s financial institution may require additional time to display the funds.

Approved refunds cover the eligible amount of the affected order. Currency conversion, bank fees, or third-party processing time may affect when and how the refund appears, but we do not charge an additional refund fee.
