Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for using BookCoversLab, including prohibited AI image generation content
2026/04/21
Introduction This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains what you may and may not do when using BookCoversLab (“we”, “us”, “our”), including our website, KDP cover tools, cover creator, AI image generation, and related services. This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service. If you violate this AUP, we may refuse requests, remove content, suspend access, or terminate your account.
Prohibited AI Image Generation Content You may not use our AI image generation or related upload workflows to create, request, upload, refine, or distribute content that is:
- Sexually explicit or pornographic;
- Nude, uncensored, fetish, or primarily intended for sexual gratification;
- Adult or NSFW in a sexual context, including explicit sexual acts or explicit sexual nudity;
- Illegal, exploitative, abusive, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law;
- Infringing, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, or violent in a way that violates law or platform rules.
For clarity, BookCoversLab does not allow the generation of sexually explicit, adult, or NSFW cover concepts or other sexualized AI imagery.
Prompt and Output Moderation We may use automated and manual review to block or remove prompts, uploads, generations, and outputs that appear to violate this AUP. We may limit access to specific features, deny generation requests, or take account action without prior notice where needed to enforce our rules or comply with legal, payment, or platform requirements.
User Responsibilities You are responsible for:
- Using the services lawfully and honestly;
- Ensuring you have rights to any content you upload;
- Reviewing generated outputs before using them commercially or on third-party platforms;
- Following platform-specific rules, including publisher, printer, marketplace, payment, and ad network policies.
No Circumvention You may not attempt to bypass usage restrictions, moderation systems, account limits, paywalls, or technical safeguards, including by obfuscating prohibited prompts or using alternate wording to request disallowed content.
Enforcement If we determine that your activity may violate this AUP, we may investigate, block content, deny service, suspend features, or terminate accounts. We may also cooperate with payment providers, hosting providers, or legal authorities where required.
Changes to This Policy We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the services after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
